Project Information

Global Effort and Investment

The Sahara Canal Project – for now – is a study and research project. The main objective is to realize the Sahara Canal. We believe the Sahara Canal represents the solution for many local and global issues. The outcome and benefits of the Sahara Canal Project have a global impact. Many industries will benefit from this project. The world has never seen a project of this size. The preparations for this venture will be proportional to the size of the project.

Study and research will be needed for the preparations as well as for the exploitation and situation after construction. The idea, concept and realization of this project will need attention from people with skills in organizational, scientific, political and financial work fields. All work fields are equally important. To succeed this project will need a global effort and investment.

Workgroups

In order to prepare, the project proposes various topics that need to be studied to be defined properly before construction takes place. For this workgroups will be established on the website. These workgroups will get an assigned topic. Everybody can join or create a workgroup. The workgroups and topics can be found in the workgroup forum. Because of the complexity of the various topics, subgroups will/can be created where needed.

Research Articles

The Sahara Canal Project website will publish under Research Articles items and articles that relate to one or more topics of the project. The Research Articles database will serve as input for the various topics of the workgroups. These articles can be found by anyone on the internet. We would like to stress that the project does not claim authorship of any published material on the Sahara Canal website, unless specifically stated. At all time each article will have the proper information on the author and where the article can be found for more information, credits and in-page links. All the more, we are grateful to the authors for the articles and hope the authors sympathize with the project and its objectives.
